The
New Patriotic Party (NPP) went to the polls on Saturday, January 27, 2024, to
elect parliamentary candidates for constituencies where they have sitting
Members of Parliament (MPs).
The
elections, which took place in 104 constituencies were fiercely contested and
led to the defeat of about 28 incumbent MPs.
In a move that surprised many, 18 seasoned MPs decided not to seek re-election. As a result, new candidates were elected to represent the NPP in these constituencies in the upcoming December 2024 elections.
The table below provides a list of these MPs who have decided not to seek re-election, alongside the newly elected candidates from the primaries in their respective constituencies:
