Biography

George Twum-Barimah-Adu was born on August 18, 1963, in Old Tafo, Ghana. His educational journey began at Castle Road Methodist Primary School, Englebert School, and Garrison Primary School. He later attended Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School (PRESEC) from 1975 to 1980.

Twum-Barimah-Adu pursued higher education at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Florida earning a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and a Master's degree in International Studies.

Twum-Barimah-Adu returned to Ghana in 1993 and began his career at the National Insurance Commission. He later transitioned to the private sector, where he held various positions, including Executive Director of Cypress Investments Limited until April 2023.

Twum-Barimah-Adu is the author of "Behaviour Brings Success," a book on HIV and AIDS, and the creator of innovative educational tools like the Road User Playing Cards and the Bonanza and Nudu board games.

In 2024, Twum-Barimah-Adu declared his candidacy for the Ghana’s presidency as an independent candidate. His campaign is centred on the theme of "common prosperity for every Ghanaian."
