Senegal: "All is well in Presidential Run-Off" - Obasanjo
The head of the Observer Mission of the African Union, former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, has said Sunday's presidential runoff is going on well, dismissing fears of violence.
Speaking to journalists at a polling station in Dakar, Mr. Obasanjo said he had no apprehension about the election, despite fears that it could be marred by violence and rigging.
He expressed the hope that the generally peaceful atmosphere that prevailed during the polls would be re-enacted during the counting of the votes. |
