#EgyptElections: Egyptian President Al Sisi to be Sworn In on Saturday 2nd June
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi will be sworn into office for his second term on Saturday 2nd June 2018 in a special Parliamentry session.
President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi secured a second term in office after winning 97% of total valid votes during the 2018 elections which took place from the 26th of March to 28th of March. The election which was described as one-sided without any significant opposition featured only one opposition candidate Moussa Mostafa Moussa who had earlier expressed his admiration for the Incumbent
President Al Sisi’s swearing-in would be the first ever since former ruler Hosni Mubarak began his fifth consecutive term in 2005. According to information reaching Penplusbytes, the session will be attended by lawmakers and media personalities, as well as other guests including ambassadors, head of universities, and religious leaders.
