#ZimElections: Zimbabwe Goes To Polls on 30th July- Prez Mnangagwa

Mugabe’s successor President Emmerson Mnangagwa has officially announced that Zimbabwe will go to polls on the 30th of July this year. Zimbabweans will go to polls to elect for themselves a new President and members of Parliament for the lower house.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa, 75, will contest against Nelson Chamisa, 40, of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC-T).
The elections will be a major turning point for Zimbabweans in their bid to erradicate the effects of corruption and violence during Former President Mugabe's tenure of office. This could also be a trying moment for Mnangagwa who succeeded veteran former president Robert Mugabe as head of state following a brief military takeover in November 2017 that led to the 94-year-old’s departure.
