Expatriates Begin Voting in Egypt Elections
Ahead of long awaited Egyptian presidential elections slated to take place from the 26th – 28th of March 2018, Egyptians in the diaspora have started casting the ballots to elect a president to serve the North-African Nation for the next four years.
The electoral process which begun today saw several Egyptian Embassies opened its doors to all Egyptian citizens within those countries to cast their votes in this year’s Presidential elections.
Reports gathered so far shows significant enthusiasm by Egyptians in the diaspora to cast their votes to either retain incumbent President Al Sisi for second term or vote for Moussa Mostafa Moussa, chairman of the liberal El-Ghad Party who is considered to be a Sisi loyalist.
All Expatriates have been encouraged to exercise their franchise by participating in this year’s election which key opposition parties and candidates consider to be a “sham” as Sisi has made it impossible for any real opposition to contest him.
