EC sets Dec. 4 for continuation of Special Voting exercise

The Electoral Commission (EC) has set Sunday, December 4 for the continuation of the Special Voting exercise across the country. The decision was arrived at after the EC and political party representatives had an emergency Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting Thursday. This is to afford some security and media personnel who could not vote in the Thursday’s exercise because their names were not found on the electoral roll the opportunity to do so.

VERDICT: TRUE

EXPLANATION: Investigations conducted by Penplusbytes fact-checking team reveals that the security personnel, media and EC officials who could not vote on Dec 1 special voting will be voting Sunday 4th December, 2016.
