Eastern Region Branch Withdraws Support for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo

ISSUE 1: EASTERN REGION BRANCH WITHDRAWS SUPPORT FOR NANA ADDO DANKWA AKUFO-ADDO

In an emergency meeting held at the Capital View Hotel, Nsutam Road in Koforidua chaired by Mr. Kiston Ohemeng Kissi, former Member of Parliament for Akwatia, the Region has decided to withdraw their support for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the upcoming December, 2016 presidential elections. 12:30AM – 3:15AM. During our deliberations, which was based on our current events, we have decided to withdraw our support.

We have carefully thought through our decisions and consulted with the former regional Chairman, Branch executives and party financiers and also Dr. Samuel Annor, Alhaji Omar Bodinga, Nana Addo Boakye and Kwame Appiah Kodua. We have discovered a grand plan by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-ado to destroy the party after learning that he cannot win the upcoming elections in December. We have discovered documents and leaked videos that seeks to remove all the current executives and prepare the way for Dr. Bawumia to take over the party after the elections.

We reject this move by our flagbearer and call on all other regional branches of the party to disown Nana Addo. We have contacted Mr. Opare Hammond of our decision and invite him to a follow up meeting on 2nd December 2016 at our regional office in Koforidua.

We also like to state that Nana Fredua Agyemang has been impeached and any dealings he undertakes under the name of the Eastern region of the party is null and void. We use this opportunity to urge our regional members to vote for our parliamentary candidates but vote against Nana Addo in the presidential elections.

VERDICT: FALSE

EXPLANATION: Investigations carried out by Penplusbytes fact-checking team reveals that the above information is not true. In a telephone conversation with Nana Fredua Agyemang shows that nothing of such meeting has happened and that the information is just pure propaganda from their opponent to divert the attention of the people from the alleged bribery allegation against the president, John Dramani Mahama.
